This commitment to students has led to the creation of a Care Team. The College has established the Care Team which a campus-wide team that meets bi-weekly to review student cases related to social, mental health, academic, behavioral, and/or a combination of these concerns. Care includes representatives from the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, The TCNJ Clinic, Residential Education and Housing, Campus Police, Disability Support Services, Alcohol and other Drug Education Program, Anti-Violence Initiatives, Student Conduct and Dispute Resolution, Center for Student Success, Educational Opportunity Fund Program, Career Center, and Academic Affairs. Other members may be added at the discretion of the Dean of Students. The purpose of the Care Team is to serve the college and the individual students by arranging, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and advocating for the students in need of assistance. Through collaboration and coordination of resources, the Care Team seeks to foster academic and personal success for students.
The Care Team is committed to support students that are often times faced with difficulties by providing them with vital linkages to both local and on-campus resources. The TCNJ Care Team strives to promote a safe and healthy scholastic environment for all student, faculty, and staff members alike. This vision is carried out through the aid of the various TCNJ Care Team members which can be called upon to assist in a referral or consultation of a potential “Care Student.”
