CARE has an online referral system to ease referrals and increase responsiveness to situations of concern.
Students, faculty, staff, parents, and others are strongly encouraged to report behaviors they feel are concerning or worrisome. While anyone can submit a CARE referral, TCNJ Cares services are for students (provisional, undergraduate, international, graduate, non-matriculated) only.
If you are unsure of whether your situation arises to the level of filing a CARE referral please feel free to contact TCNJ Cares at 609.771.2780 or care@tcnj.edu for a consultation.
Worried about Confidentiality?
We understand the sensitivity of the information provided and make efforts to respect the privacy of the referring party as much as possible. Reports of concerning behavior made to CARE will be handled as discreetly as possible with facts made available only to those who need to know to assess and properly intervene. Disclosure of threatening behavior may be necessary to protect the health and safety of the campus community or as required by law.
If you wish to speak to a confidential resource on campus, you can contact Mental Health Services, Student Health Services, Clergy, and Anti-Violence Initiatives.
