Loaner Laptop Program

The TCNJ Cares program has partnered with Media & Technology Support Services (MTSS) to establish a loaner laptop program. Students whose personal laptops need to be repaired can request the use of a loaner laptop for temporary use. The program is meant to offset the brief loss of use of the students’ personal laptop and is not a long-term borrowing program. 

To request a loaner laptop, submit a CARE referral, select option 5 (Emergency Fund Request) and note your request for a laptop. A case manager will reach out to the student to determine need and laptop availability. Once approved, MTSS will provide a laptop to the case manager, who will then provide it to the student. Upon receipt of the laptop, the student will need to complete paperwork and will be able to have the laptop until their personal one is fixed, they have purchased a new laptop, or until the end of the semester, whichever comes first.

A borrower is financially responsible for the full replacement cost of a laptop computer and peripherals if lost, damaged, or stolen during the checkout period.

All current TCNJ students are eligible for this program. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
